Spain: Security camera captured the sabotage of a winery: 60,000 litres of wine worth €2 million spilled

The movements of the unknown man who sabotaged a famous winery in Valladolid, Spain, by opening the canisters in tanks, resulting in the spilling of 60,000 tonnes of wine worth €2 million, were captured on a security camera.

The video clearly shows the movements of the hooded man who, as they explain, appears to have had the necessary knowledge to sabotage the Cepa 21 winery in the Castillo de Duero region.

The tanks opened by the perpetrator contained wine from the Horcajo and Malabrigo brands, the bottles of which sell for $90 each.

Of the total 60,000 litres of wine, 20,000 were of the Horcajo variety and were from this year’s harvest, while the remaining 40,000 were one third of the stocks of the Malabrigo variety.

According to the owner of the winery, the perpetrator’s clear objective was to cause damage to the winery from whose premises nothing was stolen.
