After the revelations and the furore that has been created about the father of the family of the Paleochristian family in Corinth,Manolis Kalintzidakis, the municipality of Eretria decided to stop paying the salary of the 45-year-old man, who was being paid without working.

According to information from the municipality of Eretria, this man has to pay back two months’ wages for January and February retroactively for not being physically present.

At the same time, the municipality is requesting a document from the prosecutor’s office to examine whether the conditions exist that would put the 45-year-old man on automatic leave.

Manolis Kalintzidakis, who lives under primitive conditions in the burrows in mountainous Corinthia and is accused of insubordination, endangering a minor and violating the law on compulsory school attendance for children, was released at noon on Wednesday until the trial set for March 4, 2024.

The 45-year-old presented to the court a medical certificate of disability that had expired in 2022 and asked for an examination by an expert, while when asked why he was working remotely in the municipality of Eretria, he claimed that he should have retired.

On his exit from the Corinthian courts at noon on Wednesday, the 45-year-old told reporters that the court order to carry out DNA tests on the children of the families who lived in the community with him violated his right and his beliefs.

“My beliefs are against any biometric, biological material.

From there I will talk to my lawyer,” he said, while complaining that he had no communication with the outside world because he did not even make the phone call he was entitled to as it was, he said, broken.

He further claimed that the aim is to take away his children and break up his family.

He even raised the issue of violation of the rights of minorities, such as the Old Calendarists. “You live in Greece, but I live in Europe,” he said.

About his job in the municipality of Eretria, where he works via telecommuting, he claimed that he has the municipality’s database on his computer. “Let them prove that I’m not working,” he said.

At the same time, he reiterated that if he lived in Germany, with six children, as a minority, disabled, he would live only on benefits.

“Everyone has to make his choices based on his own possibilities. I have to feed eight mouths with 1,000 euros,” he said.

Finally , the 45-year-old said he did not know where his wife and minor children were, as he had not been able to contact them since the day he was arrested.

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old father was found late on Wednesday night outside the Children’s Hospital, where police had banned him from entering, asking to see his 15-year-old son, who was with him in Corinth when he was arrested.

It will be recalled that the prosecutor ordered that the child, who was with the father at the time, be immediately transferred to the “Children’s” hospital.

The fact that the transfer of the child was made on the prosecutor’s order means that the father cannot visit the 15-year-old.
