King Charles paid his own subtle tribute to former King Constantine as he was unable to attend the memorial service held in Windsor for his late cousin.

Camilla led members of the British royal family who attended the ceremony, while Prince William did not attend at the last minute citing “personal reasons”, although he had been scheduled to give a speech for his godfather.

However, today (28.02.2024), as reported by the Daily Mail, King Charles wore a tie with Greek flags, making a clear symbolism.

The British monarch appeared in the tie with Greek flags as he sat in the back seat of the car, and while leaving Clarence House.

He did not attend the ceremony as he continues his treatment for the cancer he was announced to be suffering from.

However, King Charles has worn this tie several times, as well as other ties with motifs of the Greek flag.

His appearance in this tie at the COP28 climate conference, and while he was speaking at the COP28 conference amid a diplomatic dispute between Greece and Britain over the Parthenon Sculptures, caused a particular sensation.

He even wore the tie while talking to Rishi Sunak, who had just inappropriately cancelled his meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
