The documents that “betrayed” the Serbian hitmen with the expensive death contracts

Revealing are the photographic documents from the investigation of the Hellenic Police that revealed the way of action of the Serbian hitmen accused of four homicides in Vari and Corfu

Newsroom March 2 11:33

Both the photos and the conversations from the “breaking” of the “SkyECC” application revealed to the police the background behind the executions as well as the fierce war between the “Skaliari” and “Kavatski” gangs on the occasion of “sharing” the drug trade.

The victims in the two attacks were leading members of the ‘Scalia’ gang who, it appeared, had taken refuge in our country. The attack in Vari took place in early 2020 and the murder involved 4 hitmen.

The dead were Igor Dedovic and Stevan Stamatovic (they were the “leaders” of the “Scaliaari”) who at the time of the execution were in the Voskopoula tavern.

From the photographs taken by the authorities it appears that the perpetrators arrived at the scene in three cars, namely a Renault Clio, an Opel Astra and a Toyota Auris.

The first two had been rented while the last one had been stolen since May 2016.

They killed the two men and with quick movements returned to the vehicles and went up in smoke.

As for the attack in Corfu, it took place a few months after the attack in Vari and involved five perpetrators.

The victims were Alan Kozar and Damir Hadjic, high-ranking members of organisations working with the ‘Scalia’ gang.

The two men were shot more than 30 times while in the villa they were renting on Halicuna beach.
Both men were wanted by the Serbian and Montenegrin police authorities and an international arrest warrant had been issued.

As is evident from the photographic documents available to the authorities, the perpetrators used two ATVs as well as a rented boat to carry out the attack.

Death contracts worth millions

As it emerged from the authorities’ investigation, the death contract in Corfu cost 1.5 million euros, while the one in Vari cost two million euros.

A conversation between members of the organisation and the executioners is revealing, in which reference is made to the particularly high amount of money required for the organisation and execution of the double homicide of Dedovic and Stamatovic.

According to a message from a member of the organisation, the organisation and execution of the double homicide cost two million euros, as the executioners were to receive a total of one million euros, while another million euros was required to support their activities, such as renting houses, vehicles, paying ‘peripheral’ members, etc.

War on drugs

According to the evidence, the main cause of the war that led to the break-up of the “central” organisation into two and marked the beginning of the war was the loss of 200 kilos of cocaine in Spain, while the shocking detail is that the people who were in charge of the executions would not hesitate to strike even inside a shopping centre in Athens, in front of unsuspecting citizens.

A characteristic of the great importance of the case is that the war between the two organizations has led to the commission of at least 60 homicides throughout Europe, while a Joint Investigation Team with Serbian authorities and a Europol team, code-named “Ithaca”, was set up on the initiative of Greece to solve the case.
