“They tried to rape me three times”: A woman describes the terror she experienced at the hands of two Somalis (video)

"He opened my mouth to see if I have a gold tooth and pull it out", she says

Newsroom March 12 01:06

Two ruthless robbers attempted three times to rape a 36-year-old woman in the early hours of last Thursday in her home, in Exarchia, Athens.

As described on protothema.gr, the victim of the robbery and attempted rape, before the culprits left the apartment with the loot, one of the two returned to the bedroom and opened her mouth searching for a gold tooth to pull out.

Earlier, they had tried three times to rape her, with the 36-year-old thwarting them by keeping her composure.

“They jumped from the first floor where I live and entered through the balcony door. They didn’t break it because I had it open because I have a cat. They came to the bedroom to wake me up to tell them where I kept the money. At first, I was very calm, I was talking to them. As soon as they realized I was alone at home, they asked me ‘why are you alone?’. As soon as they tried to touch me, I told them ‘no, I don’t want to’, in an assertive way, and that blocked them a bit. Then they told me ‘don’t shout’ and both tried to rape me. They tried to pull down my blanket, to touch my breasts, and I yelled at them ‘no, I don’t want to’. I prevented rape twice from one and once from the other”, said the 36-year-old.

Mitsotakis: “Farmers will receive every euro they are entitled to — Solutions come through dialogue, not roadblocks”

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured farmers that all payments owed to them will be delivered in full, emphasizing that while agricultural workers have every right to demand more support, “extreme forms of protest, such as roadblocks, may exert pressure but ultimately disrupt daily life and do not help us move forward faster”
