On April 3 or 4, according to reports, the visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Washington, D.C., will finally take place.
Specifically, Mitsotakis is expected to be in the US capital for the postponed trip of last January, which had not taken place due to influenza.
The two sides were reportedly scheduled to issue a joint statement, but US Ambassador George Tzounis, who was present today at the “city hub events” conference in Alexandroupolis, referring to Greek-American relations, revealed the date of the trip.
It is noted that on April 4 is scheduled the event traditionally organized at the White House for the anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
In the same context, a bilateral meeting between the Greek Prime Minister and US President Joe Biden is expected to take place at the White House.
However, according to government sources, the two sides are still in discussions without any confirmation from the US on the date.

The agenda of the meeting is expected to include all issues concerning the two countries, including arms, energy and the strategic partnership between Greece and the US.
Also, the issue of Ukraine, what is happening in the Middle East and the Greek-Turkish relations will be discussed.
It should be noted that Kyriakos Mitsotakis was due to travel to the US last January, but he came down with the flu and so the trip was postponed and was scheduled for sometime after March 25.
