Greek actor of theater, cinema, and television, as well as a screenwriter, Theodore Katsadramis, passed away at the age of 94, according to a post made on social media by Spyros Bimilas.
As he wrote, he learned about his death from the actor’s son, Dimitris:
“A while ago we learned about the passing of the veteran great actor, Theodore Katsadramis, from his beloved son Dimitris… Born in 1929 and a prominent figure in the Art Theater, he became beloved through the dozens of films he starred in from 1955 to 2010 and from the legendary role of the ‘Taxi Driver’ on television in 1975… A theater worker, activist, and family man… He was the husband of Angelika Kapellari and later of Kaiti Papanika, with whom he had Dimitris. The funeral service will take place from Tuesday in his village… Fairwell, dear friend and colleague Theodore”.

In an interview he gave to the Espresso newspaper in September 2023, Theodore Katsadramis explained why he is not accustomed to speaking publicly: “What can I do with interviews? People have so many problems that the life of Katsadramis is not so important. I gave you the interview and opened my house because you are discreet and polite enough. Besides, I don’t know if I will be able to give another one…”
