Swearing in and birthday for Kasselakis (videos-photos)

The return to politics and upcoming moves

Newsroom March 29 01:24

The president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, was sworn in today at the Training Center in Thebes.

As it is accustomed, he will subsequently receive a five-day honorary leave.

The ceremony began with the recruits chanting the national anthem.

After taking the oath, the recruits marched through the Thebes camp.

Stefanos Kasselakis was in the second row of the 2nd squadron, to which he was assigned after his presentation on March 15th.

After the leave, Mr. Kasselakis will return to the Thebes camp to receive his discharge, as he is entitled by law to buy out the remainder of his service.

Also present in Thebes was the father of the president of SYRIZA, Theodoros Kasselakis, who, after saying, “this is where I started from half a century ago”, then spoke about his son, saying, “from tomorrow, Stefanos begins another marathon”.
