Holiday store hours in Athens will be effective as of April 25th, according to the Athens Chamber of Commerce’s announcement that noted that the stores will also be open on Sunday, April 28th.

Stores in the center and peripheral markets of Athens are waiting for consumers to do their Easter shopping with stacked shelves and sustainable prices.

The proposed opening hours will be from 9 in the morning to 9 in the evening from Thursday, April 25th to Sunday, April 28th, and commercial stores are suggested to open from 11 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.

For Holy Week that is, Holy Monday through Holy Thursday, hours are continuous from 9 in the morning to 9 in the evening, on Good Friday from 1 in the afternoon to 7 in the evening, and on Holy Saturday from 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

Stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday due to Labour Day holiday being transferred since it fell on Easter Sunday.
