Strike has been declared by GSEE, ADEDY and PAME honouring Labor Day on Holy Wednesday, May 1, while the mandatory May Day holiday was moved to Easter Tuesday (7-5-2024) by ministerial decision.
According to the information provided so far by the trade unions in the transport sector, metro, electric and tram trains, trains of the OSE and the suburban railway will remain stationary on Wednesday, while ships will remain tied up in the ports.
Buses and trolleybuses will run from 9am to 9pm, while air traffic controllers are awaiting announcements.
Under the trade union umbrella of ADEDY, workers in health, local government, ministries, insurance funds, tax offices and urban planning offices are taking part in the mobilisation.
24-hour strike of media workers
The media workers are also participating in the strike actions by decision of the HSEA and other organisations. Specifically, M. Tuesday, 30 April 2024 from 05.00 a.m. to 05.00 a.m. on Holy Wednesday, 1 May 2024, journalists, technicians, administrators and photojournalists working in newspapers and magazines are on strike.
