The weather will have two faces until Easter Sunday, according to weather forecasts.
Rain is expected in the north and west, while in the south the weather will be clear with the temperature in some areas reaching 27 degrees Celsius.
According to EMY, from today, winds are expected to weaken in the Aegean Sea, while temperatures will be good for the season and even slightly above normal levels of around 25 to 26.
However, the 24-hour strike of the PNO and the seafarers’ unions will keep ships tied up in the ports.
Yesterday, 21 ships departed from Piraeus for the Cyclades, Crete and Dodecanese and another 28 for the Argosaronic with the occupancy rate reaching 100%. However, they have scheduled sailings at midnight on Wednesday to Thursday from Piraeus and Rafina, when the strike ends.
Good Thursday and Good Friday will be unstable in central and northern Greece, while Good Saturday will see unsettled weather in the west, north and part of the eastern Aegean, meaning some showers mainly in the afternoon and afternoon.
On Easter Sunday, the day may start with generally improved weather, but again at noon and in the afternoon in western Greece, the Peloponnese, but also in the northeastern parts, i.e. eastern Macedonia and Thrace, we will have some local showers. Winds in the Aegean will blow from the north with intensities of 5-6 and locally 7 Beaufort. In the Ionian Sea, winds will blow from the east with intensities of 3-5 Beaufort, but during the warm hours of the day they will shift to the west with the same intensities.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: Clouds, partly cloudy with local rain and possibly occasional rain in the midday and afternoon hours in the mountains.
Winds: In the west variable 3 to 4 Beaufort, turning in central Macedonia from noon to south southeast with the same intensity. In the eastern parts northeastern 4 to 6 Beaufort with gradual weakening from noon.
Temperature: From 11 to 25 degrees Celsius, in western Macedonia 2 to 3 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN SOLID, WESTERN PELOPONNESE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE.
Weather: In the mainland a few clouds, partly cloudy and partly cloudy in the afternoon with possible rain in the mountains.
Winds: In the north, southeastern 3 to 5 Beaufort, becoming southwestern from the afternoon with the same intensity. In the southern seas from eastern directions 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 13 to 26 degrees Celsius.
EASTERN SOLIDIA, EUBOEA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Increasing clouds with some local rain mainly in eastern Central Greece and Evia and from the afternoon onwards gradually a few clouds.
Winds: North northeastern 4 to 6 and in the east in the morning hours locally 7 Beaufort with gradual weakening.
Temperature: From 13 to 26 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: clouds, partly cloudy with a few local showers in northern Crete mainly in the mountains and possibly in the Cyclades.
Winds: From northern directions 6 to 7 and locally up to 8 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 15 to 23 degrees Celsius and in southern Crete locally up to 25 degrees Celsius.
EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
Weather: in the Dodecanese and the southern part of the eastern Aegean islands generally clear. In the north, partly cloudy and partly cloudy.
Winds: From northern directions 5 to 7 Beaufort with gradual weakening from the afternoon.
Temperature: From 15 to 24 degrees Celsius.
THESSALY
Weather: increasing clouds with local rain until noon and gradually becoming generally clear.
Winds: From the east 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the Sporades from the north 4 to 6 Beaufort with gradual weakening.
Temperature: From 12 to 26 degrees Celsius.
THESSALONIKI
Weather: a few clouds, partly cloudy with a possibility of local rain in the midday and afternoon hours, mainly in the mountains.

ATTICA
Weather: Increased clouds and from noon gradually generally clear

In the northern Ionian, Epirus, Macedonia and gradually in Thrace, partly cloudy with local rain and mainly in the mountains isolated thunderstorms. In the rest of the country, generally clear weather, with occasional clouds in the mainland in the midday and afternoon hours, when local rainfall is possible in the continental mountains.
Visibility in the evening hours in the western mainland will be locally limited.
Winds in the west will be light and gradually westerly 3 to 5 Beaufort. In the east, winds will blow from the north at 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the southern seas locally up to 6 Beaufort, gradually becoming westerly with the same intensity.
The temperature will rise slightly in the east towards its maximum values. It will reach 23 to 25 degrees Celsius on the islands, 24 to 26 degrees Celsius on the mainland and 27 degrees Celsius in places on the eastern mainland.

In the west, central and north, partly cloudy with local rain and mainly in the west and north, isolated thunderstorms. In the rest of the country generally clear weather.

Winds will blow west northwest 4 to 6 and in the southern seas locally 7 Beaufort, weakening at night and only in the morning in the northeast will be northeast 3 to 5 Beaufort.
