Gaza: Deadlock in ceasefire talks – Hamas leaves Cairo without an agreement

Israel's invasion of Rafah and the occupation of the border crossing was aimed to obstruct the efforts of mediators and to escalate war

Hamas reported that its delegation has departed from Cairo, where talks for a ceasefire in Gaza were were conducted, and is en route to Doha, Qatar. According to Aljazeera,Hamas stated that Israel’s incursion into Rafah and the occupation of the region’s border crossing were aimed at thwarting the efforts of intermediaries and escalating the war.
