At least 13 people died when the bus they were riding on overturned on Tuesday on a provincial road in Ayacucho in northern Peru.
The intercity bus of the Civa company had departed from the capital Lima for Ayacucho and overturned under unclear circumstances at around 06:30 (local time, 14:30 local time) in the Vincos area.

Seven ambulances rushed to the scene of the accident to pick up the injured and transport them to the nearest hospitals.
Initially, 14 passengers were reported injured. However, police chief Johnny Valderama later explained to the Canal N television network that 18 injured people were taken to three different hospitals.
