A large-scale fire is burning the offices of Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk on the outskirts of Copenhagen, the fire service said.
“It’s a huge fire. We have deployed about 100 firefighters,” said operations chief Martin Smith, clarifying that the building has been evacuated. It is the pharmaceutical giant that manufactures Ozempic.

Novo Nordisk’s global headquarters in Bagsvaerd, Denmark, was hit by fire as emergency services battle to bring the blaze under control.
The fire began outside and later spread to the offices.
The fire broke out in a container at a Novo Nordisk construction site and spread to the roof of a nearby company office building.
Smoke is visible from 30 kilometers away.
Today’s fire occurred less than a week after the May 16 fire at another Novo Nordisk site in Caledburg, which had no impact on the company’s production.
