Jigger (Yannis Vardinoyannis) was and remains one of the most popular Greek drivers in Greece, with a very rich racing pedigree, including six national championships.
His love for motorsport is great and it seems to remain so, both for him and for his children (Maximos and Andreas) who made their racing debut.
Apart from racing, Jigger has a huge love for cars.
His collection has rare and unique models, both racing and road cars. Among others, a Lancia Stratos which used to race in Greece.
Jigger’s particular Stratos which is kept in perfect condition.
It is a car that or value at the moment exceeds half a million euros. It first came to Greece in 1978 and excelled in racing, initially in Sirocco’s hands.
Later it passed into the hands of Jigger who rebuilt it and made it like new.
It is significant that even the stickers that have been placed on it are genuine and have been brought from abroad in order to be exactly the same as it was when the car appeared on the starting ramp at the 25th Acropolis Rally.

The rear-wheel drive Lancia Stratos is powered by a Ferrari V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and comes from the Dino 246 GT.
With this car the Italian firm won 3 world championships (1974, 1975 and 1976) and built a legend that is still remembered by motorsport fans around the world.
We should note that the Lancia Stratos was voted as the favourite car of the Greek spectators in the contest uploaded on the official website of the Acropolis Rally.
