A fire ignited at the PYRKAL factory in the Panaktos region of Dervenochoria, Boeotia. Although it began near a hazardous materials storage site, it is currently of low intensity and burning in sparse vegetation.
Vassilis Vathrakogiannis, the Fire Department’s spokesperson, expressed optimism about containing the fire promptly.
A team of 32 firefighters, accompanied by 11 vehicles and ground personnel, are actively working to suppress the flames. Additionally, aerial support is provided by an aircraft and three helicopters.
