The next few days will be very hot where we will encounter maximum temperatures close to 40° to 43° degrees Celsius in certain geographical areas.
The hottest days are predicted to be Wednesday and Thursday, when the temperature will reach 41 to 43 degrees in Thessaly, eastern Sterea, Peloponnese, Crete and Rhodes, while in the rest of the mainly eastern and southern country it will reach close to 40 degrees. At the same time, concentrations of African dust in the atmosphere will be relatively high.
Maximum temperatures of Wednesday and Thursday (12-13/6) in the interior of mainland Greece and Crete where the sea breezes do not reach:
N. Greece: 39-40° C (city of Thessaloniki 38-39° C).
W. Central Greece and W. Peloponnese: 40-41st C
Thessaly: 41-42nd C
A. Central Greece: 41-42 and possibly 43rd C in places (Athens city 40-41 and possibly 42nd C on Thursday).
A. Peloponnese: 41-42 and possibly in places 43rd C.
Interior of Crete: 41-43rd C.
