The Greek delegation celebrated its second medal within a few minutes at the European Swimming Championship in Belgrade.
This time it was Anna Ntountounaki, who secured third place in the 50m butterfly final with a time of 26.18. This marks the second medal of her career in the 50m pool (after her gold in the 100m in 2021), but the first in this event, following two consecutive fourth-place finishes.
Sarah Junevik clearly took first place with a time of 25.68, continuing Sweden’s incredible tradition in the 50m butterfly (11th gold in 14 competitions!), while the second place was a surprise by Roos Vanotterdijk from Belgium (26.08).
