Any issues that have arisen in recent hours are being set aside; everyone is putting on their best smile as we count down to the opening ceremony, which also marks the start of the Olympic Games.

At the Olympic Village, all members of the Greek delegation have started to gather (as always, Greece will be the first to appear), and among them are our two flag bearers, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Dritsbioti.

The last time the national basketball team participated in the Olympic Games was in 2008, when Vassilis Spanoulis and Nikos Zisis were players… Today, the former is the national team coach, and the latter is the team manager, with the Hellenic Basketball Federation posting a photo that connects the two events.
