More than 100 Palestinians lost their lives in a bombing carried out by Israeli forces against a school in Gaza City, where displaced people had taken refuge, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Earlier, a spokesperson for civil protection in the Hamas-controlled Palestinian enclave reported 40 dead and dozens injured in the bombing.
The Israeli military stated that it carried out a “precision strike” against “terrorists” in a “command and control center” located within the Al-Tabin school.
