Yesterday, Dauren Kurugliev secured a podium finish in the 86 kg wrestling category, earning Greece its 8th medal in Paris. Today, Elina Tzengo, who will compete in the javelin final, will aim to make it 9 medals for Greece.
On the 15th and penultimate day of the Olympic Games in the French capital, the Greek delegation will be represented in three sports: athletics, artistic swimming, and water polo.
At 10:00 AM, the National Women’s Water Polo Team will face Canada in their final match of the tournament, competing for 7th-8th place.
At 8:00 PM, Evangelia Platanioti and Sofia Malkogeorgou will continue their artistic swimming performance in the free duet event, following their technical duet on Friday where, after a successful appeal by the Greek team, they jumped five places from 13th to 8th.
Finally, at 8:40 PM, Elina Tzengo will compete in the women’s javelin final, aiming for a strong performance close to her personal best (68.81m) to bring her as close to the medals as possible.
