An alarm was raised by the National Police and Fire Brigade in the early hours of Friday morning when they were informed of an explosion that occurred at a car showroom in New Erythrea.

According to reports, the explosion occurred at about 2:20 a.m. on Theseus Avenue.

According to the same information, the explosion caused extensive property damage to the car showroom.

Testimonies cited by SKAI refer to a motorbike with two occupants that passed in front of the car show just before the explosion.

Members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department were at Thiseos Avenue to collect evidence of the explosion.
