A weak earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale, according to the automatic solution of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Institute (EMSC), occurred on Monday morning at 07:23 in the South Cretan Sea.
The exact epicenter of the tremor was located 50 km south-southeast of Heraklion, Crete.
The focal depth of the earthquake is estimated at 19.6 km.
The revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory gives the earthquake at 3.6 Richter, with a focal depth of 43.5 km, and epicenter 7 km south – southeast of Arvi, Heraklion
