Egypt reiterated today that it will not accept Israeli forces along its border with the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Al Qahera News TV channel, which is aligned with Egyptian intelligence services.

Egypt is serving as a mediator in the ceasefire efforts between Israel and the Hamas organization in the Palestinian enclave.

According to a high-level source cited by the channel, Cairo has communicated to “all parties” that it will not accept Israeli presence in the so-called Philadelphia Corridor, a narrow strip of land 14.5 kilometers long along Gaza’s southern border.
