A drone attack by Ukraine targeted a high-rise building in the Russian city of Saratov on Monday morning as a “response” to a massive Russian bombardment in several Ukrainian regions, which resulted in three deaths and damage to energy infrastructure.

According to information provided by the city administration, the drone strike on the 40-story building destroyed two apartments and injured four people. Among the injured, a woman whose identity remains unknown is in critical condition.

Three Dead and Five Injured in Massive Russian Attack on Ukraine
At least three people lost their lives in Ukraine today during airstrikes launched by Russia, according to local officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his team are now seeking permission from Allies to carry out wide-ranging strikes within Russian territory.
Casualties were reported in Lutsk in northwestern Ukraine, Dnipro in the east, and Zaporizhzhia in the south.
According to AFP journalists, local officials reported airstrikes in many regions of the country, with at least seven explosions heard this morning over the capital, Kyiv.
The governors of Odesa and Zaporizhzhia in the south, as well as Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, reported explosions via the Telegram messaging app and urged residents to seek safety.
“A residential building was damaged in an enemy attack in Lutsk,” stated the city’s mayor, Ihor Polishchuk, noting that one person was killed.

Earlier, five people were injured in an attack on an industrial facility in the central Poltava region, according to its governor, Filip Pronin.

Explosions and Power and Water Outages in Kyiv
At least seven explosions were heard this morning in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, according to AFP journalists, as the entire country was on alert for Russian airstrikes.
Reports on Telegram that Russia is attacking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure – many missiles now heading to the west of Ukraine.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on Telegram that there were power and water outages in parts of the city following a major airstrike by Russian forces on the Ukrainian capital, which also struck the region’s hydroelectric plant.
