The key elements of the weather in the coming days were presented in a post on X by the director of the National Weather Service, Thodoros Kolydas, according to whom the first autumn system with lots of rainfall is expected from early next week.
In his post, which he accompanies with maps, Kolydas lists the areas where storms are expected through Sunday, adding that “all days will have winds of at most 5 to 6 Beaufort and temperatures slightly above normal levels.”

Two Words on the Weather in the Coming Days
Today Wednesday and tomorrow Thursday in the Ionian Sea and during the midday and afternoon hours in the mainland there will be local rain and occasional thunderstorms (today mainly in Central Greece and the Peloponnese).
On Friday in the northern Ionian and possibly in the northwestern mainland showers and thunderstorms until the afternoon possibly heavy (we will see it better tomorrow) In the rest of the country at noon afternoon instability in the mainland mainly in the north.
On Saturday in the northern Ionian and northern mainland local showers and occasional thunderstorms until the afternoon. In the rest of the country thin clouds which will become thicker in the afternoon in the mainland and local rain or isolated thunderstorms mainly in the mountains.
On Sunday in central Macedonia Eastern Thessaly local showers at times and at noon occasional thunderstorms. In other areas limited instability in the continental areas.
On Monday and Tuesday there is a low coming from the west which can be said to be the first autumn system with lots of rain, mainly west central north and eastern Aegean, but we still have time for safer forecasts.
All days winds at most 5 to 6 Beaufort and temperatures just above normal.
