A network of sensors detects extreme events while providing information on escape routes, landing zones, population concentration areas, vulnerable areas, building damage, fire stations, reservoirs and volunteer organizations, critical infrastructure, temporary shelter areas, emergency updates and contact numbers.

The interactive maps of the project “Laertis – Innovative Operational System for Natural Hazard Management in the Ionian Islands Region” ( https://hazardspro.eu/) and the technology applied for the installation of the sensor system are presented in the AKADEMIA thematic tribute of the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair.
