Two old, Land Rover Defenders, though they stood out parked in Kefalari, were ready for rugged paths on Mount Parnassos.
Truth be told, these vehicles are rare sights in the urban jungle, especially in the northern suburbs. In Kifisia, Kefalari, and Ekali, you’re more likely to encounter imposing Range Rovers and the new version of the Land Rover Defender, the one we saw in James Bond: No Time to Die.
Perhaps that’s why the two old Defenders, referred to as “orthodox” by some passersby admiring them, seemed so out of place. Both five-door (110) models, with foreign plates, they were waiting for their owners, likely to escape the city and head off-road to the rugged trails of Parnassos.
After all, that’s where they truly belong…
