On the morning of Saturday, September 28, officers from the Chalkida Security Department arrested three juveniles and a young adult for their involvement in a series of robberies and thefts in the area.
According to the Lamia Report website, the four suspects, along with another minor and two unidentified accomplices, attempted to rob a minor twice—once on September 20 and again at noon on Friday, September 27.
In the first robbery attempt, the young victim was fortunate to have no money on him. During the second attempt, he managed to flee and enter his home in time.
However, on Thursday night, the four suspects successfully robbed another minor, a 16-year-old, taking a gold cross and chain from around his neck. The victim was able to recognize his attackers, which led to their subsequent arrest by the police.
Adult Suspect Involved in Separate Theft Incident
Further investigation revealed that the adult suspect had also been involved in an unrelated theft at an apartment, where he stole cash and a school bag.
Additionally, police arrested a pawn shop owner for receiving and disposing of stolen goods. The owner, who lacked both a valid business license and a purchase and sales ledger, had bought the stolen gold cross and chain from the adult and one of the juveniles in exchange for cash.
During the investigation, one of the arrested juveniles’ parents was also taken into custody, while the other parents of the gang members were included in the case file.
The police confiscated €102.70 and the arrested individuals were brought before the Prosecutor’s Office of Chalkida on Sunday, with the four gang members being referred to the Investigating Authorities for further legal proceedings.
