This winter, audiences will witness Maria Korinthiou and Giannis Aivazis sharing the stage once more, despite their recent separation after 14 years of marriage. The renowned actors will co-star in the play “The Last Dance,” which premieres on November 1st at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation, under the direction of Reina S. Eskenazy.
Two individuals, one blessed union. Their marriage symbolized the depth of their love, forged through mutual compromises and sacrifices that nurtured their relationship with genuine affection, patience, and respect. Even after all these years, the spark of love and passion endures.
However, something threatens to disrupt this harmonious coexistence and reassess their bond. An event looms on the horizon, poised to disturb the waters of their authentic love. Are there disillusionments in love that can be discouraging? Does the monotony of daily life ever wear them down? Could neglected needs or human ego undermine the dynamics of their romance?
In a tense atmosphere, they desperately seek the truth—one that remains well hidden and dramatically alters their lives. Then, during a dance, their breath slows, words fade, dreams extinguish, and everything around them crumbles…
