The armed wing of Hamas stated today that the Israeli hostages being held in the Gaza Strip are in a “very difficult” condition, one year after their abduction during the Palestinian Islamist movement’s attack on Israel on October 7.
“We tell the Israelis that you could have taken all your hostages back alive a year ago. The condition of the remaining hostages, their psychological state, and their health has become very ‘difficult,'” said Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas’ armed wing, in a recorded message broadcast by the Palestinian movement.
