Kalambaka: The 2nd Panhellenic Truffle Festival starts tomorrow

Events, seminars, truffle hunting and cooking by 40 chefs are part of the programme of the event that will last until Sunday.

The 2nd Panhellenic Truffle Festival begins tomorrow, Thursday, October 10, in Kalambaka. The events will take place at the Riga Feraiou Square and will last until Sunday, October 13. The festival is organized by the Meteora Natural History Museum and Mushroom Museum in cooperation with the Municipality of Meteora, while the events are supported by the Region of Thessaly.

During the event, visitors have a lot to learn, through participation in seminars on trout and mushrooms, while on Friday and Saturday they will be entertained respectively by Evita & the Val Boys and Manitarock.

On Sunday they will enjoy some of the best local dance clubs, while special emphasis is placed on entertaining the little ones throughout the days of the Feast, with Magic Castle Entertainment.

Also, throughout the event, truffle growers and hunters will be on hand to inform and answer visitors’ questions at the booths they will have on-site.

The highlight day of the Festival is Saturday when some 40 chefs will cook truffle dishes for visitors at the Square, while two leading figures in the field of gastronomy, Ilias Mamalakis and Nikos Sarantos, will be honored.

It should be noted here that everything is offered FREE to guests.
