The Israeli army said last Saturday night that some 900 “terrorists” from Hamas and other Palestinian armed movements were killed during the air and ground operations in Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, which it has been conducting since early October.
According to the same source, 700 Palestinians were arrested, 300 of whom were found to be members of terrorist organizations.
Two Israeli soldiers were killed, always according to the Israeli army, which was transporting reinforcements there from other sectors of the Palestinian enclave, where the war has been going on for more than a year.
The situation in Jabalia is devastating, according to reports. Tens of thousands of civilians have been evacuated from the area, where food and drinking water are almost impossible to reach.
Palestinian sources complain that too many civilians have been killed in Israeli operations.
The German News Agency notes that it is unable to independently verify the accounts given by both sides.
