The Alexis Haritsis has been officially elected president of the New Left  (Nea Aristera) after the party’s conference.

Charitsis received 1,200 votes (95.5%) of the total 1,257 delegates who voted in the presidential ballot box, according to the election committee’s announcement.

All 57 ballots were invalid or blank (4.5%). Vote counting for the New Left central committee election continues today.
