Government sources told CBC that during their brief meeting, Guterres informed that the plan to convene an expanded meeting is proceeding in line with what was discussed as a result of the October 15 informal dinner and that he has received agreement from all parties.

He also noted that UN Assistant Secretary General Rosemary Di Carlo will pay a coordination and preparatory visit in the coming period, as Guterres “is interested in seeing an outcome to this meeting,” according to the same sources.

As part of the Baku conference, President Christodoulides met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and they discussed again following up on what they discussed last week in Budapest, the same sources told CBC.
