A series of findings were made by Anti-Terrorism officers during a search of a warehouse in a residential building in Pangrati, where they arrived after receiving information that the location might be connected to the explosion at an apartment on Arcadia Street in Ambelokipoi.
Police officers discovered weapons, grenades, and explosives. Additionally, digital evidence was found, which will be analyzed, and fingerprints and DNA samples were collected.
Among the items found were:
- 3 hand grenades
- 6 firearms
- 7.5 kg of ammonium dynamite
- 2 kg of TNT
However, sources familiar with the case, speaking to protothema.gr, expressed the belief that the findings so far do not appear to be linked to the explosion at the apartment on Arcadia Street in Ambelokipi. On the contrary, it is more likely that the safehouse was being used by another urban guerrilla group, as the military materials had been in the space for a long period.
