The cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film continues to expand, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Robert Pattinson is the latest addition to the highly anticipated project.
Pattinson, who also starred in Nolan’s Tenet in 2020, joins an already stellar cast. Previously announced stars include Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway. Details about the film remain tightly under wraps.
In addition to reuniting with Nolan, Pattinson is set to reprise his role as the iconic superhero in The Batman sequel, scheduled for release in 2026. He will also star in the dark sci-fi comedy Mickey 17, directed by Oscar-winner Bong Joon-ho, which premieres on April 18, 2025. Further projects include the dark comedy thriller Die, My Love alongside Jennifer Lawrence and LaKeith Stanfield, and the romantic drama The Drama, directed by Kristoffer Borgli, where he will act alongside Zendaya.
Although Pattinson’s role in the new Nolan film remains undisclosed, The Hollywood Reporter notes that he, Damon, Holland, and Hathaway will be the film’s primary leads. Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya, recently reported to be part of the project, will reportedly take on supporting roles.
Nolan’s untitled film is set to be released in U.S. theaters on July 17, 2026, by Universal Pictures.
