Selin Erdem was recently appointed head coach of PAS Giannina’s women’s basketball team.

The Turkish coach, who previously served as an assistant for the Turkish national team, arrived in Greece on Tuesday and took charge for the first time on Wednesday.

PAS Giannina hosted Athinaikos in Ioannina in a rescheduled top-tier league match but narrowly lost in the final moments.

The day after her debut, Erdem, known for mimicking Fatih Terim’s sideline style while exclusively donning suits and high heels, took to social media to post in both English and Greek: “We just got started.”

She also shared photos from her first game. Erdem has arrived in Ioannina brimming with enthusiasm and is eager to work with her players to elevate the team’s performance.

She has expressed delight with what she has seen of the city so far.
