Lebanon: US and France to issue joint ceasefire communiqué tonight, according to local media

Israel's cabinet meets today to ratify the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah

A US-French communiqué will be issued shortly after 10:00 pm tonight announcing that a ceasefire has been reached in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese news network Al Jadeed.

Al Jadeed reported that Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati will make announcements welcoming the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Israel’s security cabinet under Benjamin Netanyahu is underway.

Israeli ministers are expected to approve the ceasefire in the battle against Hezbollah in Lebanon and an official announcement from Netanyahu’s office will follow.
