The trial of the 49 individuals arrested during a police operation at the Faculty of Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) has been postponed to May 27 by the Thessaloniki Single-Member Misdemeanor Court.
Supporters who had gathered outside the courthouse to show solidarity with the defendants dispersed following the announcement of the postponement.

Among the defendants are 31 men and 18 women, aged 19 to 30. They face charges of disrupting the operation of a public service and resisting authority.
The police intervention took place on Saturday, March 16, following a complaint about property damage near the construction site of a new library, located in the area of the former Biology Department occupation.
