“Greece welcomes the announcement of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon as a first positive step towards lasting peace in the region”, the Foreign Ministry said in a post on twitter.

“We call on all parties involved to implement the agreement for the benefit of all citizens and regional stability,” it added.

“We congratulate our partners and allies, the United States and France, for their important diplomatic efforts,” he concludes.
