An incident in Mesara, Crete, caused a stir when a 13-year-old girl was hospitalized with symptoms of acute alcohol intoxication.
According to reports from neakriti.gr, the underage girl, along with friends of the same age, purchased vodka from a local supermarket.
Initially, she was taken to the Moirai Health Center, where she received first aid. However, it was deemed necessary to transfer her to Venizelio Hospital in Heraklion for further tests and observation as a precaution.
Police were informed of the incident and arrested the supermarket manager, a 57-year-old man, for the illegal sale of alcohol to minors.
