A tragic end to a crash that occurred in the early hours of the morning on Kefisos when a car driven by a 30-year-old Roma collided with a truck at the height of Nea Philadelphia after a chase that started from Zefiri.
It was reported that the 30-year-old, who was seriously injured in the violent collision, ended up at the KAT hospital where he was taken after being extricated.
Videos and photos from the crash scene on Kifissos capture the intensity of the collision between Roma’s car and the truck, which was moving normally on its way.
The chase began when the Roma did not obey a police signal to stop for a check at the junction of Liosia and Mornou streets, and stepped on the gas to escape.
During the chase, the 30-year-old lost control on the highway and collided with a truck at the height of Nea Philadelphia.
The driver of the vehicle was extricated after firefighters used a rescue line and were transported to KAT hospital.
It is noted that due to the accident, the upstream of the National Road to Lamia remained closed (at the height of Nea Philadelphia) for more than an hour.
