Steven Knight: The upcoming Peaky Blinders movie won’t be the end

The creator of the hit series revealed that the franchise will continue even after the movie

Newsroom December 31 09:30

Filming for the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, titled The Immortal Man, was recently completed, but it seems the future of the franchise won’t conclude with the movie. During a recent interview with Deadline, the creator of the acclaimed series, Steven Knight, was asked about what’s next after The Immortal Man, and the director shared an exciting update for fans who aren’t ready to say goodbye.

“Well, it’s interesting that you ask that question because the movie is coming out, and that won’t be the end. It won’t be the end. Let me put it that way,” he said pointedly.

While there aren’t yet any specific details, it’s thrilling for fans to know that there are more plans for Peaky Blinders beyond The Immortal Man. The series has been an outright success across its six seasons, earning nearly identical ratings of 93% from both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. It was also nominated for several BAFTA TV Awards, even winning the Best Drama Series award in 2018.

The Immortal Man boasts an exceptional cast, including Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, Haydn Stagg, Tim Roth, and others. The project recently wrapped filming, but no official release date has been announced yet.
