Public Transport timetables for New Year’s Day and Epiphany

How the Metro lines 2-3, the HSTAP and the Tram will move

With modified timetables, Mass Transit will run on the first days of the New Year. Changes to timetables.

On line 1 of the Metro ( ISAP Piraeus – Kifissia), services run every 10.5 minutes on New Year’s Day.

On Thursday 2 January, trains will run from the stations every 7.5 minutes until 22:30 and every 11.5 – 12.5 minutes until the end of the working hours.

On Friday 3 January, trains of the HSTAP will run every 6 minutes between 07:00 – 10:00 and between 15:00 – 18:00. Before 07:00, between 10:00 – 15:00 and between 18:00 – 22:30 the frequency will be every 7.5 minutes. After 22:30, the frequency will be every 11.5 – 12.5 minutes.

On Monday 6 January, on the day of Epiphany, the HSTP will operate on Sundays.

Metro Line 2

On the Metro, trains on Line 2 (Anthoupoli – Elliniko) will pass through stations on New Year’s Day every 11 minutes, between 09:30 – 22:00. At other times, trains pass through the stations every 13 minutes.

On Thursday and Friday, trains will run every 6.5 minutes between 07:00 – 11:00, every 7 minutes between 14:00 – 19:00, every 7.5 minutes between 06:00 – 07:00 and 19:00 – 21:00, every 8.5 minutes between 11:00 – 14:00 and every 9.5 minutes at other times. On Monday 6 January, Line 2 will operate on Sunday.

Metro Line 3

On Metro Line 3 (Municipal Theatre – Airport), services will operate on New Year’s Day every 10 minutes between 08:00 – 22:00 and every 11.5 minutes at other times.

On 2 and 3 January, services will run every 5.5 minutes between 07:00 – 11:00, every 6.5 minutes between 15:00 – 19:00 and every 7 – 8 minutes between 06:00 – 07:00, 11:00 – 15:00 and 19:00 – 22:00. After 22:00 trains will pass through the stops every 8,5 – 9,5 minutes. For the Lights, Metro Line 3 will operate on a Sunday schedule.

The Airport service will run every 36 minutes every day, and every Friday night, services will run every 15 minutes after midnight.

Tram

Finally, the Tram service frequency will be every 15 minutes on New Year’s Day. On Thursday and Friday it will be every 12 minutes until 22:00 and every 15 minutes after 22:00. On Monday 6 January, the service will run on Sunday.
