The Archbishop of Albania Anastasios is being transported to Athens by a Greek Air Force aircraft.

According to reports, he is expected to be admitted for treatment in the ICU of the hospital “Evangelismos”.

It is noted that the Archbishop was admitted to a hospital in Albania a few days ago due to a seasonal viral infection.

At the time, an announcement on the Archbishop’s Facebook account read: “His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, His Grace Archbishop Anastasios, was admitted as a precautionary measure to Tirana Health Hospital for observation, following the onset of seasonal viral infection. His state of health is stable, the attending physicians express their optimism.”

It will be recalled that in November 2020, the Archbishop of Albania was again hospitalized in the ICU of the hospital “Evangelismos” with coronavirus.
