Four young virtuoso musicians will present themselves to the public as representatives of a fresh and dynamic generation of Greek soloists, performing iconic works on Sunday, January 12, at 12:00 p.m., in the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall of the Athens Concert Hall
Flutist Rafaelia Kontou, violinist Christoforos Petridis, cellist Maria Elli Petridou, and pianist Evangelos Papamanolis stood out in the competitive section of the “Listening to the Young” program, an initiative by the Kalogeropoulio Foundation of Corinth, organized in collaboration with the Concert Hall, the Third Radio Program, and the DIAZOMA Association.
During their Sunday midday concert, they will present an enchanting program of chamber music compositions. Specifically, the audience will enjoy:
- Chaconne for Solo Violin by Johann Sebastian Bach
- Sonata No. 3 for Solo Piano in A Minor by Sergei Prokofiev
- Three Romances for Oboe and Piano (arranged for flute and piano) by Robert Schumann
- Sonata for Solo Cello by George Crumb
- Suite en Trio for Flute, Violin, and Piano by Mel Bonis
