The asset declaration of Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra was made public today, revealing a personal fortune worth nearly 400 million euros.
The 38-year-old Prime Minister, who took office in August, is required to submit a financial statement to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) detailing her assets, which amount to 13.8 billion baht, according to the document distributed to the media.
Her various investments and holdings total 11 billion baht (over 310 million euros), while she has 1 billion baht (more than 28 million euros) in cash, according to her declaration.
Other assets include, among others, 75 luxury watches valued at 162 million baht (almost 4.6 million euros), 217 designer handbags worth 76 million baht (over 2 million euros), as well as properties in London and Japan.
