40-Year-Old Evgenia Passes Away After Brutal Beating by Her Partner – Hospitalized Since October

Evgenia, the 40-year-old woman who had been severely beaten by her partner at the end of October, has passed away.

According to Star, Evgenia passed away last night (January 3) at a specialized hospital in Bulgaria, where her relatives had transferred her not long ago. Throughout this time, she had been fighting for her life.

He Hit and Threatened Her

Reports from her surroundings suggest that she had been experiencing abusive behavior. They claimed that her partner began hitting her and threatening her to keep her from speaking out.

It is reported that he would lock her inside the house, preventing her from going outside, cutting off all communication with her family and friends.

On October 23, she was transferred to the emergency room of Sismanogleio Hospital in Komotini with broken cervical vertebrae and severe injuries. She was immediately moved to the intensive care unit of the General Hospital of Alexandroupolis.

Until then, her partner had claimed that Evgenia had fallen into a hole on the street while they were walking. The doctors did not believe his story and alerted the authorities.

The 42-year-old man was arrested and, after his testimony, was remanded in custody in the Komotini prison, facing five serious charges, including attempted murder with intent while in a calm state of mind.
