The weather during Epiphany: Cloudiness and relatively high maximum temperatures

The temperature will reach 11-13°C in the north, 14-16°C in the rest of the country, and locally 17°C in the west and south

Epiphany celebrations in most regions of the country are expected to take place under cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching 11-13°C in the north, 14-16°C elsewhere, and locally up to 17°C in the west and south.

In Epirus, western Sterea, and parts of the Ionian Islands, light rain is expected.

However, starting Tuesday (January 6), rain is forecast for many areas. According to Sakis Arnaoutoglou, from January 11, there are indications of a weather shift in many parts of the country, bringing cold temperatures and snowfall.

Detailed Forecast for Epiphany

General Conditions:
Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times. Visibility will be locally limited in the morning and evening, with fog forming. In the afternoon, light local rain will occur in the west.

Winds:
Light winds, and in southern seas, northwest winds of 3-5 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southerly-southwesterly at 3-4 Beaufort, increasing to 5 Beaufort by the afternoon.

Temperature:
In the north, it will range from 11-13°C, while in the rest of the country it will be 14-16°C, locally reaching 17°C in the west and south. Morning frost will occur locally in northern mainland regions.

Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times, with a chance of light local rain, mainly in Halkidiki in the morning.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly up to 4 Beaufort.

Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times, with a chance of light local rain, mainly in Halkidiki in the morning.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly up to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From -2°C to 14°C.

Central Macedonia:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times, with a chance of light local rain, mainly in Halkidiki in the morning.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly up to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From -2°C to 14°C.

Thessaloniki:
Weather: Clouds, occasionally more pronounced, with a small chance of light rain in the morning. Morning and evening visibility will be locally limited.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 6°C to 14°C.

Western Macedonia:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times, with a chance of light local rain, mainly in Halkidiki in the morning.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly up to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From -2°C to 14°C.

Epirus:
Weather: Intermittent clouds, occasionally pronounced, with a chance of light rain mainly in the Ionian.
Winds: Variable, 3-4 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly-southeasterly in the northern Ionian, up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 5°C to 17°C. Inland Epirus will be 2-3°C cooler.

Ionian Islands:
Weather: Intermittent clouds, occasionally pronounced, with a chance of light rain mainly in the Ionian.
Winds: Variable, 3-4 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly-southeasterly in the northern Ionian, up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 5°C to 17°C. Inland Epirus will be 2-3°C cooler.

Western Sterea:

Temperature: From 4°C to 15°C.

Eastern Sterea – Evia:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times, mainly in the morning.
Winds: Northwest, 3-5 Beaufort in the south. Elsewhere, variable at 3-4 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly-southwesterly with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 4°C to 17°C.

Western Peloponnese:
Weather: Intermittent clouds, occasionally pronounced, with a chance of light rain mainly in the Ionian.
Winds: Variable, 3-4 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly-southeasterly in the northern Ionian, up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 5°C to 17°C. Inland Epirus will be 2-3°C cooler.

Eastern Peloponnese:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced, mainly in the morning.
Winds: Northwest, 3-5 Beaufort in the south. Elsewhere, variable at 3-4 Beaufort, gradually becoming southerly-southwesterly with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 4°C to 17°C.

Cyclades:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times.
Winds: Northwest, 3-5 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwest with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 11°C to 18°C.

Eastern Aegean Islands:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort, and in the south, northwest 4-5 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southerly-southwesterly, 3-5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 10°C to 18°C, 2-3°C lower in the north.

Dodecanese:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times.
Winds: Variable, 2-3 Beaufort, and in the south, northwest 4-5 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southerly-southwesterly, 3-5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 10°C to 18°C, 2-3°C lower in the north.

Crete:
Weather: Few clouds, locally more pronounced at times.
Winds: Northwest, 3-5 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwest with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 11°C to 18°C.

Attica:
Weather: Few clouds, locally pronounced, mainly in the morning. Morning and evening visibility will be locally limited.
Winds: Variable, 3-4 Beaufort, and from the afternoon, southerly-southwesterly with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 8°C to 16°C.
